Wowzers – you went all out to support your local family favourites in the Red Kite Days Awards 2023, with literally thousands of people voting.  It was extremely close in many of the categories so a huge congratulations to all the finalists and a big thank you to everyone who supported by nominating and voting.

Best Museum – National Waterways Museum Gloucester

Best Animal Attraction – WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre

Reconnect with nature, discover seasonal wildlife at the Slimbridge Wetland Centre. With wide-open spaces and wetlands full of the sights and sounds of nature, there’s plenty to see and do and they regular have extra activities for kids during the school holidays

Best Indoor Play – Rugrats & Halfpints

Rugrats & Half Pints Cirencester is an award winning concept in indoor activities for children from birth. It includes a wide range of sensory and soft play activities all under one roof.

Best Outdoor Play – Pittville Park Cheltenham

Opened in 1825, Pittville Park is the largest ornamental park in Cheltenham and features the magnificent Pump Room and lakes.  Pittville Park is divided in two with the eastern side most known with it’s children’s play park.  To the west is a larger and quieter space to explore with small areas of woodland, the lower lake and a small children’s play area and skate park.

Best for Eating Out – Deli Edge Cafe

The Deli Edge Cafe in Brockworth tempts with coffee, cake, freshly bakes, sourdough brunch and a lot more.  There’s a children’s play area within the cafe too.

Best Theatre – Everyman Theatre

The Everyman Theatre  is Gloucestershire’s theatre and has been serving the county (and beyond) since 1891.  The theatre presents a wide range of productions, including ballet, opera, drama, dance, comedy, music, and family entertainment.  This year Tweedy is back in the Everyman Theatre’s pantomime.
