Based on the magical fantasy book of the same name, Hobbledown Epsom is a mystical farm park adventure full of adorable animals, crazy characters as well as indoor play and amazing playgrounds to explore. Perfect for kids with a larger-than-life imagination and ideal for a wide range of ages.

From Lemurs to Guinea Pigs, Hobbledown is home to a wide collection of farm and zoo animals, all housed in spacious enclosures with plenty of room to roam and play. My favourite part of the day was being able to walk through The Ring-Tailed Lemur enclosure, we were able to get up close to these magnificent animals and the keeper was very informative. Did you know they are an endangered primate native only to Madagascar and they can live for up to 15 years in the wild!

Hobbledown is home to 18 magnificent birds of prey. Throughout the year they provide flying demonstrations, meet and greets, and experience days. Founded in 1977, The Raptor Centre aims to promote understanding and care for these beautiful birds. There are some beautiful birds here, and it’s great having all the information sheets where you can learn about the animals too.

The Imaginarium is part reptile house, part water play, part insectarium and part interactive jungle, the Imaginarium combines hands-on, messy play with live animals – all housed in a themed building with caves, tunnels and pools galore! It’s a whole world of adventure for toddlers (and the young at heart…)

This themed tunnel and net area encourages kids to climb, play and explore by letting them come face-to-face with enclosures built into the cave walls. These contain the likes of of tarantulas, poison dart frogs and pine snakes!

Also housed within the Imaginarium are Madagascar hissing cockroaches. The Imaginarium boasts its own interactive savannah! Play with lions, elephants and waterfalls on the walls, and jump from alligator to alligator on the interactive floor.

Located just outside the Imaginarium and beside the Courtyard Play Village, the outdoor water play has bicycle wheels, bubble pumps and tipping jugs galore – perfect for all young Imaginarium explorers to feed their curiosity.

Inquisitive little minds will adore the puzzle of figuring out how to work the wacky watery contraptions. Pull the cords, pump the levers, press the buttons, and let the water flow! (Remember to pack a spare pair of clothes as you will get wet, but that’s all part of the fun).

There is so much to do at the play areas at Hobbledown, from elaborate play castles to interactive water play to a daring High Ropes Course. Young children will enjoy the role play experiences at the Hobbledown Mining Village, while older kids will have a blast exploring Fern’s Castle and the Hobbledown Village. The Hobbledown Mining Village is such a fun area for young children. You’ll also find a slide and a small tunnel area, plus there’s water play here too during the summer months.

There are three jumping pillows around the playground area, which are suitable for all ages and so much fun for the kids! Noah and Isabella had a blast running around the Hobbledown water pillow that wobbles as you move around it.

The play castles at Hobbledown Adventure Farm are outstanding with loads to explore. They are definitely a highlight for a day out at Hobbledown. Fern’s Castle opened in 2020 and is the newest addition to the adventure playground, featuring tunnels, towers and slides.

Even I found myself exploring the castles with the little ones, I found myself crawling through the tunnels, and climbing to the top of the castle. Being a damsel in distress, and finding the only way down was the slide (I am sure that I went down at super sonic speed compared to the children) We had great fun pretending there were dragons in the castle and finding all the amazing places to hide together.

Hobbledown Adventure Farm also have a 14,000 sq ft indoor playbarn. The indoor playbarn is suitable for all ages and features a multi-story themed play castle, soft play climbing frames with slides, and vertical trampolines. There’s a gated toddler area for under 3’s with rockers, sensory play area with lights and mirrors and a dedicated mini play-frame.

Highlights for the kids are the outdoor water play, the new Imaginarium, the play castles and the jumping pillows. There are plenty of things to do, animals to see and places to explore for children. I can highly recommend visiting Hobbledown Adventure Farm Park  for a fun day out for the whole family in Surrey.
