The multi-award winning Fishers Adventure Farm Park is the much-loved family day out in the heart of the lovely West Sussex countryside.
Fishers offers a unique mixture of animal adventures, exhilarating indoor and outdoor play the whole family can experience. There are over 40 rides and attractions on offer for a jam-packed family day out, such as, Tractor Rides, Ghost Tunnel, Climbing Wall, Devils Dyke Descent, Adventure Golf, Pony Rides, Farm Shows, Indoor Soft Play, Quad Bikes, Go-Karts, Jumping Pillows, Fishers Castle and Maze, Merry-Go-Rounds and so much more!
The Animal Encounters Barn is an animal-lovers heaven, home to lambs, goat kids, chicks, rabbits, horses, sheep, cows, pigs and more – they also have daily Animal Handling sessions where you can hold the animals. Isabella loved looking at all the different animals and being able to stroke them. There are also plenty of had wash stations around so you don’t need to worry about touching the adorable animals they have in here.
There is a toddler village for under 5s which was brilliant, there were a selection of houses which they could play in, various ride on cars and other toys to keep them entertained. Both Noah and Isabella loved spending time in here, just outside the toddler area are picnic benches where you can sit and watch the children, or inside the area there are deckchairs if you fancy relaxing.
The Enchanted Wood is a magical walkway with hidden houses within the trees. Storm Cottage is perfect for a game of ‘hide and seek’ or try Treetops Lodge for a bit of noise! If your family enjoys imaginative-play, this woodland experience is certainly not to be missed. I would highly recommend playing the woodland musical instruments and searching for the fairy doors.
The Splash Attack area has a soft foam surface and lots of sprinklers, water guns to aim, buckets to fill and so on – your child will definitely need swimwear) and a towel. There are deckchairs along the edge for parents and a grassy area nearby, and a little shop selling ice cream, sun cream and water pistols.
Not to be missed is a giant wooden castle in the heart of the farm complete with a mind-boggling maze, slides, secret tunnel, rope bridge and a jail for naughty children. This was incredible and was designed and built by the Fishers Farm team.
Bouncing Bug ride was a lot of fun. It’s where children (or toddlers with an adult) sit in an individual ‘pod’ which is then pulled along in a line by a tractor. You go up and down small hills, into a tunnel and through plenty of muddy puddles. It’s very bouncy and lots of fun!
There are also some traditional fairground rides which we were surprised to see as we entered as I was expecting it to be just a farm! We went on the teacups and the carousel (which are included in your ticket cost)
Throughout the park there are also various other attractions you can use which are at a slight cost but nothing more than £2, we had lots of fun trying these out – the pony rides were a firm favourite for both our toddlers. Things you can do for an additional charge are Pony Rides, Bumper Boats, Quad Bikes, Panning for Gemstones, Electrical Tractors and Bumper Cars.
If you need to escape the weather or fancy a change of scenery then there is plenty to explore indoors too. The Glow Barn was breathtaking- Immerse yourself in an exciting, new and innovative experience for the family and be stimulated with tranquil music and sensory lighting, that young and old alike will love!
There’s an indoor soft play area crammed with slides, play areas and Higgledy Village; a tranquil, calm environment, with sounds of the woodland playing, sensory instruments, clever lighting and an enormous wooden play-structure at the centre of it all and a baby sensory room, which is calming, colourful and relaxing. This indoor space has calming music, slow relaxing lighting and sensory lights and bubbles, perfect for anyone to come in and escape the everyday.
There is also a Fishers Fun Fair style soft play, split into two areas it was ideal as the toddler area was separate from the older children’s area. However both areas had there own climbing frame with soft play shapes, a slide, cargo nets, and funfair music to be heard playing. The soft play areas were very eye catching decorated in bright colours which made it very appealing for the children to want to play.
There are plenty of places to pick up some refreshments during your visit. You can either grab a quick bite to eat from one of the cafes, or if you fancy a proper sit down meal then be sure to check out the Saddle Rooms restaurant.
This is only a short review of a fantastic day out where we had here. There is honestly so much more than what I have written here, but I didn’t want to spoil the fun giving everything away. Fishers Adventure Farm Park is undoubtedly the ultimate, great-value, jam-packed, fun-filled family day out all-year round, come rain or shine!
