October Half Term Activities in Hertfordshire 2024
Aldenham Country Park Spook-Fest (Elstree) 12th October – 3rd November
Spook-Fest Ticket includes your Farm Pass to see all the animals as well as enjoying the spooky themed farm featuring the Aldenham Mausoleum and Spooky Shack and activities including- Giant Puzzles, Pumpkin Bingo, Spider Maze, Spooky-Oke, Mini Tractor Play, Bouncy Castle, Dance Tunnel and the Bale Play. Interact with our Scarecrow characters and watch out for their Pop Up Shows
Willows Activity Farm Pumpkin Festival (St Albans) 19th -20th, 25th – 1st October
A family day out at Willows Activity Farm includes a visit to the Pumpkin Patch to pick a free pumpkin. Enjoy the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground, funfair rides, shows, meet and greets, adventure play, tractor ride, inflatable fun, Pumpkin Hunt and Gourds Grotto.
Dinos After Dark at Paradise Wildlife Park (Broxbourne) 25th, 26th, 27th – 1st, 2nd, 3rd November
Take a magical trip around the World of Dinosaurs and see the dinosaurs come to life by moonlight. Packed full of all the best dinosaurs, your family will be in for an experience like never before.
School of Witchcraft & Wizardry at Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park (Hogshaw) 26th October – 1st November
Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park have a week of magical adventures this October half term! Follow our herbology tutor down to the pumpkin patch to collect your specimen for decorating and spot fellow Wizard School pupils getting up to mischief around the farm. For pumpkins, potions, broomsticks, owls & more
HalloweenSpookfest at Church Farm (Ardeley) 19th – 31st October
Come and meet the animals and enjoy wonderful rustic creepy fun! Geared towards families so ‘spooky’ rather than ‘terrifying’, all ages are welcome!

Ministry of Science at Watersmeet Theatre (Rickmansworth) 25th October

High Jinx Show at Watersmeet Theatre (Rickmansworth) 27th October

Hertford Castle Open Day (Hertford) 27th October FREE
The guided tour of Hertford Castle allows you to explore the Castle rooms and showcases the Castle’s amazing history over the years from William the Conqueror to the present day.
