May half term is set to be an exciting one with lots of places to visits and events. There’s the added bonus of the May bank holiday weekend too.  Here’s the Red Kite Days guide to what’s on for kids in Berkshire and some great ideas for days out.  From Maidenhead to Wokingham and Reading to Newbury, we’ve got it covered!

Amazing Animals at the Corn Exchange Newbury (Newbury) 29th May

This heart-warming show is packed full of music, comedy and amazing animal effects that is perfect for all ages from toddlers to grown-ups.

West End Magic at the Corn Exchange Newbury (Newbury) 30th May

London’s longest-running theatre magic show is coming to Newbury this half term. Featuring incredible award-winning magic, mind reading mysteries, hilarious comedy which can include ventriloquism, juggling and crazy stunts.

Fireman Sam – The Great Camping Adventure at the Corn Exchange Newbury (Newbury) 2nd June

Brand-new for 2024 Fireman Sam – The Great Camping Adventure. It’s up to Fireman Sam to save the day and ensure everyone is safe on their camping adventure! Pre show family craft workshop available too.

There’s going to be lots going on including fairground rides, farm animal meet & greet, face painting, go kart rides, wonderful birds of prey, ferret racing, hands on arts and crats and much more! All activities are free.

  • Mini Farmers half term event at Roves Farm (Sevenhampton) 25th May – 2nd June
  • Lambing feeding at Bucklebury Farm (near Reading) from March onwards

Dino Take Over at Wellington Country Park (nr Reading) 27th – 31st May

Come face to face with a dinosaur, from the fierce T-Rex, to the agile Raptor there are plenty of opportunities throughout the day to witness these fantastic beasts. Don’t miss out on this incredible adventure at Wellington Country Park

A week of incredible circus skills and performing for 7 to 12 year olds this half term. Learn to walk on stilts, ride a unicycle, walk the tightrope and perform on a trapeze!
