Where Inspiration Blooms Half Term Family Bushcraft
26 October, 2021 @ 10:15 am - 11:45 am
Where Inspiration Blooms are running an extra special Bushcraft/Forest School session during October Half Term with the help of the brilliant Jools from Nature’s Jewels.
Jools has lovingly grown a dozen extra special pumpkins on her allotment (no nasty chemicals or pestcides etc) and there will be the opportunity to carve them at this session (one per family), as well as all of the usual bushcraft activities.
Jools is an expert in so many different areas of bushcraft, nature and forest school and is a regular teacher at a number of different schools across Buckinghamshire.
There will be numerous seasonal activities available including crafts, marshmallow roasting, fire lighting skills, learning how to use tools, hapa zome and bug hunting. Due to the nature of the sessions a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children max is necessary for safety reasons (i.e. fire/tools etc.)
NB for parents of pre-schoolers and toddlers. You are welcome to bring younger children, who will be able to use the digging area for mud play, make muddy paint for the trees, play on the swing and hammock and play with the selection of books and outdoor toys but with additional older children also present they will need to stay near an adult at all times, so in that respect they won’t be as ‘free’ as at the usual toddler/pre-schooler Forest School that we run.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
