Easter Weekend – Friday 29th March – Monday 1st April 2024

Come and discover our fascinating historic buildings this Easter Bank Holiday weekend! Immerse yourself in our new willow sculptures and have fun participating in our Easter trail. Bring out your creative side with some family crafts and make unforgettable memories. For a small additional charge, you can even ride a pony and experience the thrill of pony-riding. Don’t miss the chance to put on a pair of 3D glasses and delve into our captivating mini 3D exhibition.

With 45 acres at your disposal, there is plenty to explore, including enchanting woodlands and an exciting adventure playground. Join us for a wonderful day out with your loved ones this Easter Bank Holiday weekend and let the adventures begin!

Terrific Tuesdays at Chiltern Open Air Museum – 2nd and 9th April

No need to worry about entertaining your children during the school holidays! The Museum’s Education team has got you covered with their special themed family activities on every Tuesday in Bucks school holidays. Our fun-filled activities, games, and crafts can be enjoyed without having to pay any extra, as they are included in our admission price.

If you’d like to attend multiple Terrific Tuesdays, and Museum events then you can purchase an Annual Pass which costs £35 for adults, £25 for children and family pass prices start from £60.

2nd April – Easter Theme

Join us on 2nd April for a fun-filled Easter event! Get ready to unleash your creativity and make some delightful Easter-themed crafts. We will be making puppet straws, ladybugs, and Easter headbands.

But that’s not all – get ready to be enchanted by our storytellers as they transport you to magical Easter worlds through their captivating tales.

If clay is your thing, then you’re in for a treat! The Dacorum and Chiltern Potters Guild will be hosting a fabulous clay creation workshop, where you can mold and shape your own unique creations.

Don’t forget to bring your detective skills as well, because we have an exciting Easter trail planned for you! Follow the clues and find the hidden Easter nests scattered throughout the site.

9th April – Earth Day Theme

Join us on 9th April as we celebrate Earth Day with a range of exciting family activities. Come and explore the beauty of nature and get involved in various crafts and games with an Earth Day twist.

Get creative and design your own Earth-themed bookmarks that you can take home. Families can also enjoy a variety of games that will have an environmental focus.

We will also have storytelling sessions throughout the day, where our storytellers will captivate audiences with tales of nature, conservation, and the beauty of our planet.

For those interested in working with clay, the Dacorum and Chiltern Potters Guild will be hosting clay creations workshops. Join skilled potters and learn how to shape clay into beautiful creations inspired by nature. Let your imagination run wild and create something truly unique to take home.
